Rishikesh, India meets Nong Khiaw, Laos in this collaboration between Ananda Yoga Shala and Luang Prabang Yoga. We bring together the knowledge of yoga philosophy, the practice of Hatha Yoga and the precision of Iyengar Yoga in this two-week, 100-hour teacher training course led by Anup Gupta and Thitaree Chaiyasate. This training is suitable for both teachers and non-teachers who enjoy flow, but would like to deepen their understanding of alignment, modifications, as well as verbal and hands-on adjustments through the Iyengar method.

This teacher training course offers you an insight understanding of yoga techniques that will enable you to further your understanding of yoga, and will contribute towards teaching certification at the 200-hour level or continuing eduction credits with Yoga Alliance if you are already a registered teacher. For students looking to simply deepen their practice, this training will allow you to experience yoga as a daily and personal practice. The curriculum is designed for all levels of practitioners. With Nong Khiaw as your home for these two weeks, you will engage more with a deep state of relaxation, flexibility, peace and harmony in life.

Pranayama

Philosophy

History and yoga tradition - basic study of the lineage of the yogis of the Himalayas. Yoga philosophy - in Sanskrit the philosophy is called Darshana. It means clear vision. We need to see the truth clearly. Philosophy is not a game of mind but a clear understanding of our own lives. Yoga philosophy teaches us who we are.

Asana Practice

Our asana sessions will enhance your hatha asana with alignment from the Iyengar methods. We will incorporate the flow aspect of vinyasa and will pay careful attention to each student's unique body structure, injuries and experience.

Meditation, Mantra and Yoga Nidra

Spiritual practice - the aim of yoga is Samadhi so the practices are designed to lead us to a deep state of relaxation, flexibility, peace and harmony in our own lives.
Relaxation - relaxation practice is the center of all practices of yoga. It leads to the state of yoga nidra (psychic sleep). When one moves inside through the different levels of yoga nidra to experience a deep state of relaxation - that is called Turiya.\ Concentration - to start meditation the students must learn how to focus the mind, how to control the senses and thought. The practices of Trataka and other concentration practices allows the student to learn to meditate properly. |
ABOUT THE TEACHERS
ANUP

Born and raised in Rishikesh, India, the capital and birth place of Yoga, Anup Gupta, the founder of a Yoga Alliance Certified Teacher Training School, Anada Yoga Shala, has been a student of yoga for the last 8 years. Anup has trained in many style of Yoga, including, Vinyasa Flow, Ashtanga Vinyasa, Classical Hatha Yoga, and Iynegar Yoga. He received certificate Iyengar Yoga by Senior Teachers Zubin from Mumbai and Usha Mataji from Rishikesh, India, and has done extensive training at Sthalam Yoga Shala in Mysore for Ashtanga Vinaysa. He has taught Yoga intensives and teacher trainings in many parts of the globe including Russia, Kazakhstan, Thailand, India and China. He is the lead and senior instructor at Ananda Yoga Shala, in SwargAshram, Rishikesh, India, and revered and respected by many students as one of the most personable, passionate and kind hearted instructors in all of Rishikesh. His passion is all about mixing of Hatha Vinyasa with Iyengar method of yoga teaching focusing on verbal and hands-on adjustments.
THITAREE (GUIDE)

In 2008, Thitaree tried her very first time yoga class and fell in love with it right away. Then it was on and off practicing yoga due to her previous job as a university lecturer before she has come to the point where every evening is her yoga time since 2012. In January, 2012, after 5-Day Immersion Yoga Course with Jonas Wrestling, Thitaree found yoga and yoga had changed all her perceptions about how to live a life with peaceful mind and good health. She wanted to share her passion of yoga practice to people and decided to choose this path of life as a yoga teacher. After sixteen years as a university lecturer, she quit her job and took 260-Hour Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training at Yoga Elements Studio, one of the top 20 best studios in the world according to “Travel and Leisure” in Bangkok, with Adrian Cox and ShiangYing Chan Cox. She also took Yoga Workshop with Patrick Beach in 2014, Adjustment and Alignment Workshop with KruJimmy in 2013 and 5-Day the secret yogic workshop with Simon-Borg Olivier in 2015. Then in February 2016, being passionate for a deeper skill in hands-on adjustment and verbal adjustments, she took 200-Hour Ashtanga Hatha Yoga Teacher Training in Rishikesh, the world Capital of Yoga with Anup Gupta, Ananda Yoga Shala. In December 2017, she will be taking the way towards becoming 500-RYT by taking 300-Hour Yoga Teacher Training at Sattva Yoga Academy, Rishikesh, India. She will also integrate her Doctor Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with her yoga teacher trainings in Thailand, Lao and Vietnam in 2017.
Thitaree has been teaching Vinyasa Flow, Power Yoga and Hatha yoga and Modified Primary Series since 2014. Having been teaching yoga at the Racha Resort, Phuket and in Bangkok for two years, she has gained lots of feedback about being a teaching of vibrant and positive energy in every class and imprinting students’ heart with the feeling of “I will definitely come back on a yoga mat and keep on practicing yoga!” Her passion in teaching yoga is to bring her teachings into a deeper focus in people, change, healing, and individual development.
