The Ayurvedic system encourages us to build a deeper awareness of our habits and patterns through our daily choices. It is based on the idea that everything in the universe including ourselves are made up of five elements (earth, fire, water, air, ether). We are born with a unique combination of these elements, which then determines our optimal nutrition, sleep patterns and choices that we make. It also explains diseases that result as we come out of balance, and the necessary steps to bring us back into balance. Beyond an approach to health, the process of determining your Ayurvedic constitution is one of cultivating self-awareness. On this retreat, you'll dip your toes into this process.
